Hey all - we are looking at coming to CR for the month of July. Rainy season I know. We are currently thinking of spending the entire month in Esterillos to really get to know the area, but also plan on having a 4WD SUV for day trips - cloudbridge, cerro chirripo, Manuel Antonio, etc. Really curious to hear opinions on what to expect, weather wise during this time frame in Esterilllos and the surrounding areas.

Even though it will be the rainy season...you will still enjoy it. Esterillos is our favorite beach area.
Make sure to go visit Los Almendros Restaurant that is about a block from the beach. Check WAZE. GREAT food...we did a video about Esterillos with her place featured in it.
For the weather....it might rain a little bit starting about 2 pm....stop near dark. Never a LOT of rain unless you get near the END of the rainy season around October.
