In the "Costa Rica a third world country. Protests ,landslides ". YouTube video There was a river crossing scene . I did not recognize the make/ Model of vehicle being driven there . Does someone know offhand what that was.
YES...that was our 1996 Hyundai 4 x 4 Gas Galloper Exceed.
I say gas...because most of the Gallopers here are diesel. I wish mine was...but it has been a great vehicle for the age and just for future reference...we've had this vehicle for about 4 years now and so it was about 20 years old when we bought it and it cost us $4,000. Which was a GREAT PRICE for a car that age in Costa Rica... YIKES Lol

Thank You. I did not recognize the model . It is not one I have seen in the States. I do a lot of 4 wheel drive exploring . I will definitely need something similar when we get to Costa Rica.
In the area that we are in, the Galloper is a popular vehicle. It is easy to work on , mechanically and easy to get parts.
We imported a Honda Pioneer 1000-5 side by side, along with a few other neighbors. They are a blast to drive and you just bounce over the terrible Costa Rican roads. 2 of my neighbors have both vehicles and hardly drive the Galloper anymore.

I'd like to see a picture of that side by side...Add a picture to your post if you have one. Thanks!
