From what I have seen on videos and in person, the average bike is a dirt or multi use bike. Not many large NA bikes(or japanese ) cruisers/tour. Are the roads easy enough to manage a Goldwing or HD Cruiser? and i really mean is it feasible or too much slow stop and go to be worth it?

In my opinion, it wouldn't be worth it. However, I have seen some groups or possibly some "Bike Clubs" pass through Costa Rica. You could travel a lot with a Goldwing or HD, but you would MISS SO much of Costa Rica.
I had a great HD in the states, but I would CRY if I brought that nice bike here. CR has more dirt roads than blacktop.
So, I would suggest, if you like riding a bike....invest in a great Side by Side. It's like having a great bike, but with 4 wheels and NOW you can go on all the Dirt - Boulder Roads and really have a great time exploring and seeing waterfalls and the many hidden gems you can find off the beaten path.

I agree with Allen. I have a Honda Pioneer 1000-5, at our house in the Montezuma area, and it works great on all terrain. You can get them road legal and we use ours as our only mode of transportation. If we do any long trips, we can always rent. A touring bike would be a waste, but I am sure you can buy a bike in SJ that would be bigger and great on dirt and pavement. I know the have a BMW dealership, there
.
Don't do it. It'll get old real quick. Few can fix them and parts are hard to get. My friend stuck his HD in the kitchen and left it there after doing the whole import thing. Another friend had to rent a garage near pavement because the road to his house was terrible. There are groups here but if you don't speak Spanish you'll have a bad time.
At the very least, come down and rent one for a week and see how that goes. Big bikes make expensive lawn ornaments.
