We have heard that if you are in your home country and want to make reservations in Costa Rica, you will get a lower price if you have a VPN that includes Costa Rica. The current VPN we use while still in the States is Tunnel Bear but it doesn't include C.R.
So what VPN's should we consider?
We had a health set back in the family which has delayed our move but are now hoping for August if all goes right.
I've never heard of this but anything's possible. I live here and don't use a vpn. If you want, email me what prices you get at a hotel etc and I'll check it out with my local access.
I'm sick of gringo prices but that's life here. I typically only buy something with a price on it already and go from there. I was at a large Auto Wreckers with the part I wanted in my hand and cash in my pocket. The guy wouldn't sell it to me because he didn't know the price. I put it down and walked away waving the cash. Ended up getting it off Ebay and importing it.
Thanks Eduardo, the information I received was from a couple living in Samara and have their own Vlog on Youtube. They are from Canada. After being in CR for some time, the couple wanted to have a get-away at a nice resort. When first going into the prices they didn't have their VPN on. They use the VPN when streaming Canadian and USA TV, etc. He had forgotten that the VPN was on when he went into the on-line reservation page a second time and noticed quite a difference in the cost from the first viewing. So he turned the VPN off and the prices were back to the original amount.
Still being in the States, for now, we use a VPN that doesn't have Costa Rica. So we were wondering what others use for CR while not there.
